Confirmed: Globe MyFi Router

Listen to article

A Globe Telecom representative sent an email confirming that their MyFi Router is already being sold in selected Globe Business Centers.

This is probably in response to our earlier report about the Huawei E5830.

The Globe MyFi Router is an add-on to existing Globe Tattoo Broadband plans. So, instead of just getting the Globe Tattoo USB dongle, customers will have the option to take the MyFi Router instead.

An additional monthly fee of Php250 is added to your postpaid bill for the MyFi Router for the next 24 months (a total Php6,000 spread over 2 years).

Globe Tattoo plans include the Light Plan at Php499/month with 50 hours free internet every month and a Heavy Plan at Php999/month with unlimited surfing.

A copy of the MyFi Router F.A.Q. is posted here.

Hiya! I know this is kinda off topic nevertheless I’d figured I’d ask.
Would you be interested in trading links or maybe guest authoring a blog post or vice-versa?
My website addresses a lot of the same subjects as yours and I believe we could greatly benefit from each
other. If you happen to be interested feel free
to shoot me an e-mail. I look forward to hearing from you!
Excellent blog by the way!

hope cdrking ends up selling unlocked stuff like this

even if its not exactly myfi (needs a 220v power supply), some people would be happy with it

That would be P999 + P250 = P1249/month for Heavy Plan.

Sir Yuga, is P6,000 the cost of the myfi unit spread over 2 years with an additional monthly subscription plan of P499 or P999 per month of either light or heavy usage?

If it is, then I would rather wait when the unit price goes down.

@aedos & patricia – will be released to prepaid users also but they’ll prioritize postpaid subscribers first.

@abeolandres does the new globe broadband plan still have that 20% bandwidth cap on P2P programs? That’s the deal breaker for me.@talk2globe

They should sell the router separately for prepaid users…
