Netflix recently announced that it will be acquiring Next Games, a developer and publisher of mobile games based in Helsinki, Finland, to bolster its mobile games catalog. Next Games is the company behind mobile games such as Stranger Things: Puzzle tales, The Walking Dead: Our World, and The Walking Dead: No Man's Land. "With a shared vision and passion for games, we are looking forward to welcoming Next Games in a city that is home to some of the best mobile game-makers in the world," said Mike Verdu, VP Netflix's VP of Games. "While we’re just getting started in games, I am confident that together with Next Games, we will be able to build a portfolio of world-class games - with no ads and no in-app purchases - that will delight our members around the world." After their initial roll-out of Netflix Games, the streaming platform adds more titles to their lineup of mobile games - including Riot's latest League of Legends spinoff.
