Netflix is rolling out a major redesign of its TV and mobile apps, aimed at improving the user experience and helping viewers discover content more easily. Netflix has moved shortcuts from the left sidebar to the top of the screen, offering a cleaner, more accessible layout. Beyond aesthetics, the update also promises to make it easier for Netflix to highlight new content types, such as live events and games. Netflix is leaning into these areas as part of its broader strategy, with features designed to accommodate future growth in these categories. Furthermore, Netflix is testing vertical video feeds for mobile, similar to TikTok, which promises a more dynamic and personalized viewing experience. In accordance to the Digital Services Act, starting June 1, Netflix will implement a 12% digital VAT, raising subscription prices across all plans. A couple of days ago, Netflix made the announcement that it will soon launch in key South East Asia countries which includes Singapore and Hong Kong as well as Taiwan and South Korea. Netflix targets the roll out of their service in these 4 countries early 2016.
