#New Clark City AI hub

The US and the Philippines may be in the works of building a massive 1,600+ hectare artificial intelligence (AI) and supply chain hub in New Clark City. To this end, US Undersecretary of State for Economic Affairs Jacob Helberg recently led a high-level delegation of several American companies to inspect the site in New Clark City. The ambitious blueprint for the New Clark City hub development was finalized following the Philippines' official entry into Pax Silica: a US-led, cross-continental supply chain alliance created to secure critical technological sectors. The Philippines and the United States plan to build a 4,000-acre industrial hub in New Clark City to strengthen supply chains for technology and manufacturing. The site for the project is New Clark City, a government-developed area north of Manila (Tarlac, Pampanga) managed by the Bases Conversion and Development Authority. The Bases Conversion and Development Authority has teamed up with Saudi Arabia-based Acwa Power to build a massive solar power and battery storage facility in New Clark City. The initiative directly backs the national government's goals to increase renewable energy capacity and accelerate economic growth across the country, perhaps due to the recent power shortages experienced.
