At this year's Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, LG is set to unveil a 2018 version of their flagship V30 that touts new AI features for its camera. The new low-light shooting mode it brings improves the phone's low-light performance by increasing brightness levels in a much smarter way. We will have to wait for MWC 2018 to actually see if these new AI features will make the new V30 more worthwhile. LG's upcoming V30 will make use of the new UX 6.0+, the latest version of their proprietary Android top layer. The new version is designed to maximize the multimedia capabilities of the smartphone, namely its 18:9 OLED FullVision display and its advanced dual lens camera that will feature an aperture of f/1.6. For the device's camera mode, users will be able to use Graphy, an app where you can browse through a collection of photos taken by professional photographers, then apply the metadata from a selected photograph (white balance, shutter speed, aperture, ISO, etc) to photos taken by your V30. The V30 will ditch the V20's Second Screen in favor of utilizing its OLED display's entire 18:9 aspect ratio, by implementing a Floating Bar. Aside from these, security features also get a bump up in functionality, as the V30 will now have more advanced facial and voice recognition capabilities to unlock the phone.
