You will soon see health and fitness products with the Nokia name printed on it as Withings will soon launch their ecosystem of connected health products under the iconic brand. French consumer electronics company, Withings, that specializes in connected health devices like scales, trackers, blood pressure monitors, thermometers and home cameras, has announced that they will launch under the Nokia brand in summer 2017. "Nokia is a powerful global brand that is synonymous with innovation, connectivity, and great design,” said Cedric Hutchings, VP of Digital Health, Nokia. “Withings joined Nokia because we share a vision to inspire individuals to take control of their own health. Nokia will also roll out the company’s HIPAA-compliant Patient Care Platform designed to transform the relationship between patients and healthcare professionals. The new Nokia branded connected health devices will be available early Summer 2017 via Nokia’s website and retail channels including Lava Tech, J Select, DTSLI, and current retail partners. The Nokia E51 first came out in September last year, it already got my attention. The Nokia E51 is a business/productivity phone so expect good connectivity options -- WiFi and 3.5G or HSDPA (3.6MBps).
