has announced that its unit, NOW Telecom, was given an extended license by the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) to operate as a telecommunications provider. In a report by CNN Philippines, the license will allow NOW Telecom Company, Inc. In February 2018, President Rodrigo Duterte signed into law Republic Act 10972 which renews the franchise of Now Telecom for another 25 years. In June 2019, NOW Corporation announced that NOW Telecom plans to offer 5G services in the Philippines. NOW Corporation, a telecom, media and technology listed firm in the Philippine Stock Exchange, just upgraded their current wireless broadband equipment. From the 700Mbps the new equipment upgrade is now able to service up to 2.4Gbps. NOW corp is expanding its broadband services in Metro Manila which offers reliable Fiber internet connections in the area. Their focus is establishing a reliable internet connection to residents with gated villages via its Fiber-in-the-Air technology or also known as "Fiber Air" for homes.
