Ookla recently released a report showing the world capitals with the fastest, and slowest, 5G median download speeds during Q1-Q2 2021.   Starting with the fastest, Oslo, Norway topped the list of 15 world capitals with a 5G median download speed of 526.74 Mbps. has won several awards at the Ookla Speedtest Awards, including “Fastest Fixed Network,” “Best Fixed Network,” and “Best Fixed Video Experience” in the Philippines. The results are based on millions of real user tests collected through Speedtest. Microsoft has quietly introduced a new internet speed test feature in Windows 11, giving users a quicker way to check their connection directly from the taskbar.   The feature, which began appearing in recent updates for Windows 11 versions 24H2 and 25H2, adds a “Perform speed test” option in the network menu. Once selected, the option opens a browser-based speed test powered by Ookla, showing key metrics such as ping, download speed, and upload speed.
