Aside from their 10x lossless zoom, OPPO has also showcased their 5G technology. Here's what OPPO is planning for the future with 5G. Milestones 2018 has been a big year for OPPO when it comes to their 5G technology. The demonstration reproduced a 3D portrait image on a remote receiver using portrait information collected structured-light 3D camera of a customized OPPO R11s and 5G NR terminal prototypes from Qualcomm Technologies. In October 2018, they announced that an OPPO smartphone has successfully completed 5G Internet access for the first time. OPPO made the connection successfully between an R15 smartphone terminal and the 5G network, in their 5G communication protocol laboratory environment. Then in December 2018, OPPO created the OPPO Find X 5G prototype, with an engineering sample of the Snapdragon 855 and X50 5G modem, and used it to demonstrate 5G data connectivity and applications including browsing, online video replay, and video call. Fast forward to the present, at the OPPO Innovation Event in Barcelona, Spain, the company presented its first 5G smartphone that is powered by Qualcomm.
