After the release of Huawei's P20, readers may be wondering how it will fare with the company's previous Mate front-liner, the Mate 10. The Huawei P20 is one of the recently released smartphones that focuses on mobile photography. The Huawei Mate 10 was released last year and proved that it is worthy of being a flagship device based on our review. The Mate 10 has a 2X lossless zoom while the P20 has a 5X hybrid zoom which is a good indicator that the latter can shoot images from a farther distance than the former. Additionally, the P20 is capable of shooting 960fps slow-mo videos in which the Mate 10 does not have. Moving to the front cameras, we can see that the P20 has a significant increase in camera resolution as compared with the Mate 10. The Mate 10's battery capacity is larger than the P20, however, during our tests with the former's battery performance, we found out that it doesn't quite meet our expectations of having a long battery life mainly due to the display setup. Lastly, there is no 3.5mm audio port for the P20 so it might be a deal breaker for some users who are fond of listening to music.
