ASUS It hasn’t been that long since ASUS unveiled the second PadFone, but the company has already released the Jelly bean update for it. The nifty features that the Android 4.1 update brings to the ASUS PadFone 2 includes updated notification bar, Google Now and Google offline voice typing. The Asus Padfone 2 has already been unveiled in Taiwan today, showcasing a different hardware configuration and better specs compared to its predecessor. Down at the bottom is the microUSB port with MHL support which also serves as a connector to the Padfone Station. We got very specific details about the yet-to-be-announced Padfone 2 which will be revealed by Asus in Berlin, Germany during IFA next week. While it's already confirmed that the original Padfone will not be released in the Philippines, the Padfone 2 will definitely be sold locally by around 1st quarter of 2013 (although in limited quantities). The first detail we got was that the Asus Padfone 2 will be bigger at 4.7-inch and still uses an AMOLED display but now at 720p resolution. The Padfone2 will be initially revealed in IFA but it will take until GSM World 2013 in Barcelona before we can see the final product.
