Alfa Romeo has announced the launch of their new compact SUV featuring a plug-in hybrid system, the Tonale. The new Tonale is made in Italy, at the company’s revamped Giambattista Vico plant in Pomigliano d’Arco, one of the most advanced production plants in the automotive industry. The Tonale is the first car on the market that comes with an NFT digital certificate. The Tonale will have two powertrains, a 256HP gasoline only engine and a 272HP plug-in hybrid. The PHEV system utilizes a 1.3-liter turbocharged gasoline engine mated to a six speed automatic, a 90-kilowatt rear-axle electric motor, and a 15.5kWh battery pack. No specific pricing details have been revealed about the 2023 Alfa Romeo Tonale.
