Ookla has released their updated Speedtest Global Index for May 2021, showing the Philippines' average mobile internet download speed at 31.98Mbps, while the average fixed broadband download speed is at 58.73 Mbps. For Fixed Broadband, the country is up at 65th with an average download of 58.73 Mbps, upload of 57.40 Mbps, and latency of 21ms. Leading fixed broadband, on the other hand, is Singapore with 250.35 Mbps. The Ookla Speedtest Global Index report released on Tuesday revealed an improvement in the Philippines' fixed broadband download speed for January, with the median speed increasing to 88.13 Megabits per second (Mbps) from the 87.13 Mbps recorded the month before. Ookla has released their Speedtest Global Index report for September, showing the Philippines having the 5th fastest internet in Southeast Asia for fixed broadband. Ookla recently updated their Speedtest Global Index for February 2022 indicating the Philippines’ average mobile download speed at 18.79 Mbps, and average fixed broadband download speed at 49.10 Mbps. While for the fixed broadband internet speeds, the country is down at 68th ranking with the said average download speed, upload of 46.92Mbps, and 6ms latency. And the fastest fixed broadband internet for the month is in Chile with 197.59Mbps.
