Qualcomm has announced its three newest mid-range chipsets -- the Snapdragon 665, 730, and 730G. The Snapdragon 665 features a 3rd-Gen Qualcomm AI engine, Hexagon 686 DSP with the addition of HVX, Qualcomm Spectra 165 ISP that supports hybrid autofocus, Optical Zoom Zero Shutter Lag Video, Video Style Transfer, and Triple camera for Telephoto, Wide, and Ultra-Wide shots at 48MP natively. The Snapdragon 730G's main focus is on gaming capability and its difference to the 730 is that it comes with a 15% faster graphics rendering, true HDR, Anti-Cheating Extension, Wi-Fi latency manager, support for Cinemagraph, lowe power voice activation, and HD super slow-mo at 960fps. Qualcomm has announced the new Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 and Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 processors. The Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 includes AI-powered camera features, Qualcomm Adaptive Performance Engine 4.0 for gaming, up to 21% better GPU performanc, and support for Wi-Fi 7 and ultra-fast 5G connectivity. According to Qualcomm, upcoming devices powered by Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 will come from brands including HONOR and REDMI. Qualcomm has announced the Snapdragon Wear Elite, a new processor designed for smartwatches and other wearable devices, bringing on-device AI features along with improved performance and battery life. According to Qualcomm, the Snapdragon Wear Elite offers up to five times faster CPU performance and up to seven times better graphics performance compared with the previous Snapdragon W5+ Gen 2 chip.
