#Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite 2

Qualcomm has officially announced that its next-generation flagship mobile chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2, will be unveiled at the upcoming Snapdragon Summit, scheduled from September 23 to 25, 2025, in Hawaii. Anticipated Performance Enhancements The Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 is expected to deliver significant performance improvements over its predecessor. Qualcomm has announced the Snapdragon Wear Elite, a new processor designed for smartwatches and other wearable devices, bringing on-device AI features along with improved performance and battery life. According to Qualcomm, the Snapdragon Wear Elite offers up to five times faster CPU performance and up to seven times better graphics performance compared with the previous Snapdragon W5+ Gen 2 chip. Snapdragon Wear Elite also includes a Hexagon NPU, which allows devices to run AI features directly on the device without relying heavily on the cloud. Qualcomm said devices powered by Snapdragon Wear Elite may support fast charging, allowing a smartwatch to reach 50% battery in less than 10 minutes. Qualcomm has just set a new benchmark for mobile computing with the announcement of its Snapdragon X2 Elite platform for PCs. Unveiled here in Maui, Hawaii (Editor's Note: Qualcomm flew us here for free with accommodations), the X2 Elite series boasts up to 18 cores using the third-gen Oryon CPU architecture, and a multi-core speed of up to 5.0 GHz boost frequencies, making it one of the fastest ARM-based chips for Windows PCs in 2025.
