Android Authority has revealed that Google is still developing ways to make Android’s Quick Share compatible with iPhones. Here, traces of the string confirming Quick Share compatibility for iPhones were revealed. This suggests that iPhones may need to use a Google service, possibly through an app, for Quick Share to function. Google is finally opening up its AirDrop-compatible Quick Share feature to more Android devices. Eric Kay, Google's VP of Engineering, announced that Quick Share will receive AirDrop support and become available on more Android smartphones later this year. Google recently turned Quick Share from a system app into a standalone APK on the Play Store, a clear sign it’s no longer tied to Pixel-only hardware. The feature has already proven to work, letting Pixel 10 users share files seamlessly with iPhones, iPads, and MacBooks. The feature, commonly referred to as AirDrop over Quick Share, allows compatible Android devices to detect and send files directly to nearby Apple devices such as iPhones and Macs.
