Samsung is planning to add support for AirDrop-style file sharing on its Galaxy devices, starting with the Samsung Galaxy S26 series.

The feature will allow Galaxy users to send files directly to Apple devices using AirDrop compatibility, marking a major step toward cross-platform file sharing between Android and iOS.
Samsung confirmed that the rollout will begin with the Galaxy S26 lineup and expand to other Galaxy smartphones through future software updates. However, no specific release date has been announced.
The move builds on recent efforts by Google to improve interoperability between Android’s Quick Share and Apple’s AirDrop, aiming to simplify file transfers across different ecosystems.

Once available, users will be able to share files more seamlessly between Android and iPhone devices without relying on third-party apps or workarounds.
The feature is expected to roll out gradually, meaning older Galaxy models may receive support later depending on update availability.
