Android Authority has revealed that Google is still developing ways to make Android’s Quick Share compatible with iPhones. Here, traces of the string confirming Quick Share compatibility for iPhones were revealed. This suggests that iPhones may need to use a Google service, possibly through an app, for Quick Share to function. The feature, commonly referred to as AirDrop over Quick Share, allows compatible Android devices to detect and send files directly to nearby Apple devices such as iPhones and Macs. By leveraging Quick Share, Google is effectively enabling a workaround that mimics AirDrop functionality without native Apple integration. The move builds on recent efforts by Google to improve interoperability between Android’s Quick Share and Apple’s AirDrop, aiming to simplify file transfers across different ecosystems.
