Here are five facts you need to know about the Republic Act 11229 (or the Child Safety in Motor Vehicles Act): 1) Drivers of covered vehicles shall be required to use a 'child restraint system' when transporting a 12-year-old (or younger) child or group of children, except when the child is 150cm (59 inches or 4 feet 11 inches) in height or taller.
