After a long wait, the Meta AI by Ray-Ban is now officially available in the Philippines. Back in April, we first saw updates when the app was rebranded to Meta AI, but this time it’s no longer just an update—it’s the full launch of the AI-powered smart glasses in the local market. With the latest Meta View app update, users can now activate new AI features straight from the settings. One of the highlights is the object description tool, where you can simply look at something through the glasses and Meta AI will describe it for you. And with the hardware carrying a 12MP camera, open-ear speakers, and built-in microphones, you still get the full experience of capturing photos, recording videos, listening to music, and asking Meta AI for assistance—all without pulling out your phone. On the design side, the smart glasses are available in different Ray-Ban frames, including the new Skyler Shiny Chalky Gray, giving users both style and function. Although the Ray-Ban Meta AI glasses hardware are still not officially available in the Philippines, you can already find them through grey market sellers and other online marketplaces. Hopefully, with this latest update, Meta will finally push for wider availability of both the Ray-Ban Meta AI and the Oakley x Ray-Ban models in the country in the coming months.Download the app (Android and iOS) Read more in our articles including "Ray-Ban Meta AI Now officially available in the Philippines" and "Meta may launch Ray-Ban smart glasses for prescription users".
