Meta is reportedly preparing to launch new Ray-Ban smart glasses designed for people who wear prescription lenses, according to recent reports. The new models may arrive soon and are expected to focus on everyday use.

The report says Meta is working on two designs, one rectangular and one rounded, both made for users who need vision correction. While current Ray-Ban smart glasses already allow prescription lenses, these new versions are said to be built specifically for that purpose. Details on the exact changes are still unclear, but they may include improvements in comfort, weight, and battery life.
The devices are expected to be sold through regular eyewear stores, making them easier to access for people who already buy prescription glasses. Reports also mention two model names, “Scriber” and “Blazer,” which have appeared in official filings, suggesting that the launch could happen soon.
The filings also show support for Wi-Fi 6, which allows faster data transfer. This could help with features like video sharing or livestreaming.
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg earlier said that many people already wear glasses and that AI glasses could become common in the future.
Meta has not yet confirmed the new models or shared a release date.
