Meta is reportedly preparing to launch new Ray-Ban smart glasses designed for people who wear prescription lenses, according to recent reports. While current Ray-Ban smart glasses already allow prescription lenses, these new versions are said to be built specifically for that purpose. The devices are expected to be sold through regular eyewear stores, making them easier to access for people who already buy prescription glasses. The hardware will officially hit select brick-and-mortar Smart Stores nationwide later this week, where non-subscribers can also purchase the glasses as a standalone retail item. Samsung and Google announced a new line of AI-powered smart glasses. Created in partnership with Gentle Monster and Warby Parker, the glasses work as a companion device for smartphones. Samsung says the smart glasses are designed to offer hands-free access to AI while blending in with familiar eyewear styles.
