Epic Games has recently announced a new app called RealityScan that enables users to scan objects in the real world or from their photos and turn them into 3D objects virtually. While still in beta, the app is said to release on both iOS and Android by the end of the year. the app will have you take a series of photos around the object and once done, it will upload the render to Sketchfab, a 3D modeling platform for VR and AR content, after which you’ll be able to see your scan.
