Alongside the launch of the realme 15 Series 5G, realme has also unveiled its newest wearable in the Philippines, the realme Watch 5. Sporting an Apple Watch Ultra-inspired design, the Watch 5 features a rectangular 1.97-inch AMOLED display with a 450 x 390 resolution, 600 nits peak brightness, and a 79% screen-to-body ratio at 302ppi. Users can also choose from over 300 watch faces to suit their style. For fitness and navigation, the watch includes Independent GPS, Compass, 5 GNSS, and sensors like a 3-axis accelerometer, heart rate monitor, and vibration motor. The realme Watch 5 is priced at Php3,299 but is currently available on Shopee for Php2,899 as an introductory offer. Moreover, we feel like these companies are looking at something more as each one are confirming that they're working on something else other than a smartphone or a tablet -- specifically a smartwatch. Samsung has already confirmed that they are working on a smartwatch, while companies such as LG, Apple and Google were reported to be working on one too. This isn't the first time someone's making an intelligent wristwatch, as gadgets like the Motorola MotoACTV and the Sony Smartwatch are already available for purchase now.
