ING Philippines which is shutting down their retail operation in the Philippines has informed users that their services will be discontinued soon. ING has announced that it has decided to exit the retail banking market in the Philippines before the end of 2022 but will continue its Wholesale Banking business and global shared services operations in the country. It also re-assessed its retail operations in the Philippines for its scalability as a standalone business. ING Philippines debuted in the country in 2019, calling itself the first fully digital retail bank in the Philippines. BDO encourages all its mobile and online banking users to access their accounts during off-peak hours. The announcement is made due to the growing surge of logins and transactions both on the mobile app and the website which may cause difficulty in accessing the BDO online and mobile banking services for some customers. Previously, both the mobile and online banking services of BDO had been inaccessible for some users. BDO's Online and Mobile Banking services offer a lot of handy features, including sending money to your loved ones.
