AMD has just unveiled two new chips built for handheld gaming called the Ryzen Z1 and the Z1 Extreme. The Ryzen Z1 series processors will be AMD's go-to chips for handheld Windows-based PC Gaming. A month after the announcement of the Ryzen 7 desktop processors, AMD has announced their newest series of processors designed for gamers and creators - the Ryzen 5. The Ryzen 5 series aims to challenge Intel's Core i5 processors. According to AMD, the Ryzen 5 1600X beats the Intel Core i5 7600K by 69% in CPU performance testing using Cinebench R15 nT. Below are the Ryzen 5 SRPs: * AMD Ryzen 5 1600X - $249 * AMD Ryzen 5 1600 - $219 * AMD Ryzen 5 1500X - $189 * AMD Ryzen 5 1400 - $169 The AMD Ryzen 5 models will be available beginning April 11 at retailers around the world. AMD just announced the lower-cost Ryzen 5 a few days ago, and we got word of the official pricing that these chips will be having as they land in the country next month.
