Samsung silently launched the newest iteration to its 2-in-1 tablet line, the Galaxy Book 2, with the new Snapdragon 850 chipset onboard. The main difference of the Galaxy Book 2 from its predecessor is the larger 12-inch display, better performing chipset (Snapdragon 850), 8MP rear camera, 4G LTE Cat. Samsung is set to release the Galaxy Book series in the Philippines next month and, as a 2-in-1 Windows tablet, is positioned to compete against the iPad Pro. The Galaxy Book comes in 2 sizes -- the bigger 12-inch display and a smaller 10.6-inch display which is our review unit here. The Samsung Galaxy Book is supposed to be the successor to the Galaxy Tab Pro S which was released last year (read our review here). Just like its predecessor, the Galaxy Book follows the same simple and compact design with an all-glass front panel wrapped in a metal chassis. The Galaxy Book has a single USB Type-C port which is used for charging the device or connecting to an external device like a portable HDD, printer, digital camera, and others. Powering the Galaxy Book is a low-power Intel Core m3 with a base clock speed of 1.0GHz (2 cores, 4 threads) that can go up to 2.6GHz with Turbo Boost.
