After all the battery issues that rattled the reputation of the tech giant last year, Samsung has officially launched the refurbished version of the Galaxy Note 7, dubbed the Galaxy Note Fan Edition (FE). The Galaxy FE will have the same UX as the Samsung Galaxy S8 and will include the Bixby assistant software. Included in it also is the 'Samsung Pass'. Samsung also noted that their 3,200mAh batteries are further enhanced and have passed new safety measures implemented following the recall. However, only 400, 000 units will be released in its home country, South Korea. The Galaxy FE will be released on July 7 and will come in 4 different colors. Samsung announced that a joint study with Chung-Ang University Gwangmyeong Hospital in Korea found that the Samsung Galaxy Watch6 can predict vasovagal syncope (VVS) or sudden fainting episodes using health data collected by the smartwatch. A joint clinical study with Chung-Ang University Gwangmyeong Hospital in Korea showed the Samsung Galaxy Watch6 can detect signs of VVS using data gathered by the smartwatch. Researchers used the Galaxy Watch6’s PPG sensor to monitor heart rate variability data and analyzed it using an AI algorithm.
