Samsung has announced their own Bixby-powered smart speaker at the Galaxy Unpacked 2018 event in New York, the Galaxy Home. The Samsung Galaxy Home is a smart speaker with six built-in speakers with a subwoofer, and eight built-in far-field microphones. This device works similarly to the Amazon Echo, Google Home, and Apple HomePod as it provides AI services such as Bixby activation via "Hi, Bixby!", music streaming via Spotify, and Proximity detection to a Galaxy phone, to name a few. Samsung announced that a joint study with Chung-Ang University Gwangmyeong Hospital in Korea found that the Samsung Galaxy Watch6 can predict vasovagal syncope (VVS) or sudden fainting episodes using health data collected by the smartwatch.
