Samsung and Google have revealed new AI-powered intelligent eyewear at Google I/O 2026. Samsung and Google announced a new line of AI-powered smart glasses. Created in partnership with Gentle Monster and Warby Parker, the glasses work as a companion device for smartphones. Samsung says the smart glasses are designed to offer hands-free access to AI while blending in with familiar eyewear styles. Well, it looks like Samsung is ready to come up with a competitor through the release of the Galaxy Glasses later this year. The Galaxy Glasses will run Samsung's in-house One UI XR. Starting Friday, May 29, 2026, the mobile services provider will formally offer the brand-new Rokid AI Glasses across its flagship postpaid offerings, introducing native, hands-free access to Google Gemini without the typical bulk of traditional AR headsets.
