Yesterday, Samsung Electronics unveiled its new ultra-thin 40" to 55" 1080p LED Full HD TV -- the Samsung B6000 and B7000 Series. These models are for the high-end market so Samsung is only making larger screens (40"/46" for the B6000 and 40"/46"/55" for the B7000 series). Samsung claims up to 40+% power reduction compared to LCD TVs of the same size. The much awaited Omnia i900 from Samsung (see specs here) was released in the Philippines yesterday. While everybody is getting frustrated with the supposed Globe iPhone 3G pricing, the Samsung Omnia will definitely be a formidable alternative to the former. The rumored new Samsung i8510 that tows in an 8-megapixel camera and a 16GB internal storage becomes official. This new Samsung i8510 phone will be named Innovate or Innov8. I reckon that the Samsung i8510 is positioned against the Nokia N95 while the Omnia is targetted as an iPhone alternative.
