Samsung has revealed Low-Power Double Data Rate 6 (LPDDR6) RAM which has already received an award. LPDDR6 is built on a 12nm process with the memory being able to deliver data speeds of up to 10.7Gbps. With faster performance, smarter power management, and enhanced reliability, LPDDR6 aims to meet the growing demand for high-speed, energy-efficient memory in the AI era. Samsung has announced that LPDDR6 has already received the CES 2026 Innovation Award Honoree under Mobile Devices, Accessories & Apps. Other devices under Samsung that have this award are the Galaxy XR, Galaxy Z Fold7, and Galaxy Watch8 under their respective categories. Samsung Electronics has announced that is now mass producing the industry's first 256GB mbedded memory based on the Universal Flash Storage (UFS) 2.0 standard for high-end mobile devices. According to Samsung, the new high-density UFS memory module offers speeds that are nearly twice as fast as a SATA SSD for PCs. With the said new memory chips, you can expect future flagship smartphones to carry 256GB of internal storage, perfect for media heavy users.
