The Samsung Galaxy S25 Series has ended its support for its Samsung Messages. The company, Samsung, has completely disabled Samsung messages on the recent models. Samsung Messages users on older Galaxy units have raised its concern on this issue, but as per PhoneArena, users will still retain the app and can continuously utilize the app. Samsung's spokesperson shared its statement to the Android Authority on January 23 regarding the decision to fully utilize Google Messages as the brand's default messaging app: “With the close collaboration between Google and Samsung, we have opted to migrate all services to Google Messages and are sunsetting Samsung Messages. It’s no longer available in the Play Store; however, those who chose to utilize Samsung Messages are still able to do so.” And adds, “We believe that the added functionality of RCS messaging on Google Messages creates an enhanced user experience for both Android-to-Android messaging and across platforms.” Samsung has announced that its Samsung Messages app will be discontinued in July 2026. Samsung has announced the end of service to their Samsung Messages app. Samsung suggests Google Messages for their features such as RCS support, improved spam protection and AI-powered tools.
