Samsung has just launched a new prepaid virtual card in the US called Samsung Pay Cash. Integrated into the Samsung Pay app, the Samsung Pay Cash virtual card can be topped up with a credit card, debit card, or bank transfer. It can be used anywhere Samsung Pay and Mastercard are accepted, including e-commerce platforms. For a limited time, Samsung will be giving out USD 5 (~PHP 259) credit to consumers who register for Samsung Pay Cash. Pasig Mega Market now has satellite-powered internet to support cashless payments under the Paleng-QR Ph Plus program of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and the Department of Information and Communications Technology. The rollout is part of the Paleng-QR Ph Plus program, a joint effort of BSP and DICT to promote the use of QR Ph, the country’s standard system for cashless payments.
