Yesterday, Samsung Philippines introduced their new line of HDTVs just in time for the Christmas shopping season -- the Series 7 and Series 8 LCD TV with 46" and 52" models. Samsung also introduced a Blu-Ray home entertainment theater system (7.1) worth about Php69,000 while the stand-alone Blu-Ray payer costs about Php24,900. Disclosure: I was contacted by Samsung PR (Jayce Perlas of Perlas & Luna) to join them on ANC and was paid for my appearance. The rumored new Samsung i8510 that tows in an 8-megapixel camera and a 16GB internal storage becomes official. This new Samsung i8510 phone will be named Innovate or Innov8. I reckon that the Samsung i8510 is positioned against the Nokia N95 while the Omnia is targetted as an iPhone alternative. LCD monitors from Samsung are getting better and better. I thought the dual 19" 940BW at home is already a great set up until I got hold of the new 22" Samsung 2232GW LCD monitor.
