Samsung has unveiled its 85-inch 8K QLED TV dubbed the Q9S at CES in Las Vegas today. The Q9S comes with an AI technology that automatically upscales low-resolution images into 8K picture quality. The image is then processed 64 times to offer natural images in high-resolution, without compromising gradation in the picture. According to Samsung, the new QLED TV categorizes elements of picture quality (black/blooming/brightness) in input sources by scene to produce pictures with richer and more detailed contrast. Apart from image quality, the new technology optimizes sound quality without having to change the TV's setting. Samsung 8K QLED TVs with AI technology will be launched during the second half of 2018.
