Google's Nik Collection is a compilation of 7 desktop plug-ins used for professional-grade editing of photos. The collection consists of Analog Efex Pro, Color Efex Pro, Silver Efex Pro, Viveza, HDR Efex Pro, Sharpener Pro and Dfine which are all advanced tools for editing images already used by serious photographers worldwide. The collection basically covers every general aspect in photo retouching -- "from filter applications that improve color correction, to retouching and creative effects, to image sharpening that brings out all the hidden details, to the ability to make adjustments to the color and tonality of images," their announcement read. The agency also noted it wants to cooperate with lawmakers and other sectors, maybe even align with different groups to look into regulations that will protect minors, while still encouraging a safer digital space. The landmark initiative is backed by a USD 25.60 million (PHP 1.56B) grant from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), marking it as the largest project funded by the agency in the Philippines to date. Beyond monitoring infrastructure, the multimillion-dollar project is heavily structured around capacity building, focusing on modernizing state information security networks, building a national cyber threat response system, and training a new generation of skilled local tech professionals.
