#SMAC points

(BDO), SMAC, and SM Store have rolled out a new way for customers to get extra perks when picking up cash. Under the partnership, customers who claim their BDO remittances at SM Store Foreign Currency Exchange counters will automatically earn 1 SMAC point for every PHP 10,000 received. The points earned can be used for shopping and other rewards across SM Retail outlets nationwide. SM Store says claiming remittances through its counters ensures cash availability and added security, while giving families a small bonus through earning points via SMAC. BDO, SMAC and SM Store say the move is aimed at making remittance pick-ups more convenient and offering more value to families across the country. This new SMAC perk runs until October 20, 2028, according to SMAC official website. The brand followed it up by releasing multiple iterations of the Tiger chipset at various price points (nothing above mid-range, of course.) This saw massive adoption, not only by big smartphone manufacturers, but the “Shopee-special” tablet brands from China that could now compete without much compromise.
