In retrospect, the Smart Bro Plug-it device was originally being retailed by the telco for Php3,995 some four years ago and the price dwindled down to Php995 back in 2013. Being part of a prepaid bundle, the Php99-worth Smart Bro Plug-it device doesn’t have any lock-in period and it comes with a free Smart Bro SIM card. Smart Communications recently announced that it is doubling the maximum download speeds of its Smart Bro Starter and Power Plug-Its. "We’ve increased the top connection speeds of our Plug Its so that Smart Bro subs can explore more of the Internet on the country's first and only 100% super-charged network," said Smart Broadband Internet and Data Services Head Lloyd Manaloto. The Smart Bro Starter Plug-It has a price tag of Php995 while the Smart Bro Power Plug-It has a price tag of Php1,245.
