(Smart) has launched a new app called Smart Travē (pronounced TRAV-ie) which allows users to purchase local eSIMs and connect in over 80 overseas destinations for as low as PHP 40 per day. By using Smart Travē, users do not need to swap physical SIM cards, queue at airport kiosks just to purchase a physical SIM card, or go through the hassle of locating public WiFi hotspots just to connect while traveling. Once downloaded, users can simply choose their destination, select a data package, pay using their preferred method, and activate the eSIM for immediate use. Smart Travē supports local connectivity in over 80 destinations worldwide such as Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, Thailand, United States of America, Korea, and Vietnam. The Smart Travē app is now downloadable on Google Play Store for Android users and on the Apple App Store for iOS users. Smart mobile users can now switch from physical SIM cards to the Smart Prepaid eSIM and retain their original mobile number. In comparison to physical SIM cards, eSIMs are convenient, secure, and flexible. Smart Signature subscribers and Smart Infinity members may upgrade to an eSIM at any Smart Store in the Philippines.
