It equips the new Snapdragon 4 Gen2 chipset that runs on a flagship-level 4nm process. Qualcomm has just unveiled the new Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 chipset, the successor to the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 launched last year. The Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 is the first in the series to be built on a 4nm process whilst its predecessor was built on a 6nm process. The Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 is also the series-first to support 3GPP Release 16 5G technology with its Snapdragon X61 5G Modem-RF System for faster data speeds together with Qualcomm Wi-Fi 5 for dependable connections. For camera processing, it features intelligent noise reduction that is said to help eliminate grainy or hazy aspects, as well as faster autofocus for clear action shots. As for smartphones that will soon be coming with the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2, none have been confirmed thus far but we can expect them to be coming in the next few months. Qualcomm has announced the new Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 and Snapdragon 4 Gen 5 processors.
