With the announcement of the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, Qualcomm says that Xiaomi will be the first to adopt the new chipset as early as next month. Now, a new leak claims that the first smartphone to debut the 7s Gen 3 is the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G. Qualcomm has officially announced its Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, a new addition to the “s” series, built on a 4nm process. According to Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 delivers nearly 20% boost in CPU performance and a 40% faster graphics processing as compared to last year’s 7s Gen 2. Speaking of AI, it boasts an AI Engine-dedicated NPU enabling on-device generative AI features such as AI noise cancellation or noise reduction. This chip sits underneath the standard Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 and at the top of the series is the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3. On board, it uses Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, and OnePlus says it brings noticeable speed gains over the last generation.
