The Xiaomi Mi 6 offers a number of top features including a Snapdragon 835 chipset and dual 12MP rear cameras, all encased in a beautifully crafted body. The phone is powered by Qualcomm's top chipset today, the Snapdragon 835 octa-core processor with an Adreno 540 to handle graphics. We recently went to Singapore to attend the Qualcomm Snapdragon Tech Day where Qualcomm announced the new Snapdragon 660 and 630 mobile platforms as well as showcase the features of their current flagship, the Snapdragon 835. The Snapdragon Tech Day is an opportunity for Qualcomm to share to the media some insights about the future of mobile technology which includes the accelerated growth and demand for mobile LTE connectivity, better imaging, and machine learning. These demands are one of the reasons behind Qualcomm's innovations when it comes to their mobile platforms like the Snapdragon 835. Speaking of the Snapdragon 835 SoC, Qualcomm provided demonstrations of its capabilities which you can experience in the devices carrying it like the Sony Xperia XZ Premium, Xiaomi Mi 6, and the Snapdragon variant of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8+. and ODG (Osterhout Design Group), a Qualcomm Incorporated subsidiary, introduced the first devices to be powered by the Snapdragon 835 processor - the R-8 and R-9 AR smartglasses.
