Sony is really being aggressive with their high-end lineup for this year as they’re set to unveil another yet another 5-inch Full HD smartphone in the form of the Xperia A. Apart from the display, the Sony Xperia A is seen bearing the same Omni-balance design cues of the Z and ZL. The report didn’t include the Xperia A’s engine, but we have a feeling that it won’t fall that far from the Z and ZL’s configuration. The Sony Xperia A is rumored to make its debut in Japan on the 15th of this month and will be launched partnership with one of the biggest telco there, NTT DoCoMo. Sony has confirmed that it will launch the Xperia 1 VIII on May 13 at 11:00 AM JST. Sony is also expected to announce the A7R VI full-frame mirrorless camera and a new 100-400mm f/4.5 GM lens during the launch. Reports suggest the Xperia 1 VIII will feature a redesigned body with a square camera module.
