With only a few months left for 2012, Sony Mobile was already reported to be working on its 2013 flagship codenamed "Odin." A leaked User-Agent Profile (UAProf) revealed that "Odin" will run Android 4.1.1 Jelly Bean and a Sony 10.1.A.0.XXX firmware under model numbers: C6502, C6503 and C6506. This suggests that Odin will have regional/carrier variants like the Xperia smartphones currently out. And since the unreleased Odin is already running Jelly Bean we can hope that Sony equips it with Android 4.2 when it comes out of production. Sony has confirmed that it will launch the Xperia 1 VIII on May 13 at 11:00 AM JST.
