Google has just enhanced their Search app by integrating Sound Search for Google Play feature that allows the app to provide relevant results based on the rhythm it tuned in to. Sound Search for Google Play works similarly to other third party app such as SoundHound and Shazam. However, unlike SoundHound (or other Music Discovery app for that matter), Sound Search for Google Play is limited to Android users in the US and will only provide song results that are included on its extensive Google Play music library. Google says Gen Z users are now the most active users of AI-powered search, as younger audiences increasingly rely on tools like Gemini for everyday queries. Google said this shift is changing how people use search, from typing keywords to engaging in deeper, back-and-forth queries.
