The official name of Starlink in the Philippines is Starlink Internet Services Philippines Inc, which is fully owned by Elon Musk's subsidiary company, Space Exploration Technology Corp., famously known as SpaceX. It was early announced by the Department of Trade and Industry that the Philippines will be the first in Southeast Asia to experience the known Starlink Technology. We could soon see SpaceX establish itself in the Philippines even before the end of President Duterte's term. Lopez said that the Philippine government is in full support of having SpaceX in the country. SpaceX would set up their internet service through their Starlink service and the use of low earth orbit (LEO) satellites. The aim of the DTI in launching the use SpaceX's satellites is before the end of President Duterte's term.
