Spotify has recently launched this year’s edition of Wrapped. Spotify 2021 Wrapped is the company’s celebration of the year and is a look back at the listening habits of its users. Spotify says that this year, Filipino music dominated the local charts more than ever. Zack Tabudlo, a Spotify RADAR Philippines artist, took the top spot for being the “Most Streamed Song” in the country in 2021. The top-streamed local artist for the second year in a row is Ben&Ben, followed by Moira Dela Torre, Skusta Clee, Zack Tabudlo, and Arthur Nery. Spotify’s EQUAL program, a global initiative to foster gender equity in music and shine a light on local female artists, is led this year by Jana Garcia, Yeng Constantino, and Nadine Lustre. K-Pop also dominated the charts as the top streamed K-Pop Artist in the country, with TWICE, BLACKPINK, IU, and SEVENTEEN, rounding out the top 5. Moreover, Spotify Wrapped introduces personalized Wrapped features including, 2021: The Movie, Your Audio Aura, Playing Cars, and Wrapped 2021: Blend.
