SSS has just announced that they have recorded 35.27 million transactions and queries in the SSS Mobile App from January to August 2021. As of August 2021, SSS recorded 9.37 million downloads of the app on the Google Play Store, 8.85 million downloads on Huawei’s AppGallery, and 1.25 million downloads on the Apple App Store. Since its launch in 2018, the SSS mobile App has facilitated a total of 109.73 million transactions and queries. Employers can also use the app to check on the SSS and Employees’ Compensation contributions program of their employees and check the status of loans and loan payments. The SSS Mobile App is available on the Google Play Store, Apple App Store, and Huawei AppGallery. In addition to their recent announcement of a Digital Branch, the Social Security System (SSS) announces that all 281 SSS branches nationwide under Alert Level 1 will be 100 percent operational to accommodate transactions of members, especially in the National Capital Region (NCR). “We will evaluate the situation to determine if there is a need to further extend service hours and hold special operations on Saturdays,” SSS President and Chief Executive Officer Aurora Ignacio said. As there will be an influx of transactions, SSS reminds members, claimants, and transacting public to utilize online facilities such as My.SSS and SSS Mobile App for convenience.
