The short-form video platform— TikTok has achieved more than 1 billion users globally. Launched in September 2016, TikTok hit the internet by storm as people shared their creativity through various dance challenges, lip-syncs, and such. "More than 1 billion people around the world now come to TikTok every month to be entertained as they learn, laugh, or discover something new. We're honored to be a home for our immensely diverse community of families, small businesses, and creators who transform into our favorite stars," said the TikTok Team in a blog post. The platform also noted that TikTok had become a part of life for people globally because of the creativity and authenticity of their creators. TikTok's Chief Operating Officer Vanessa Pappas also expressed appreciation for their growing global community.
